HEARING LOSS AND TREATMENTS
To find out what kind of hearing loss you have and whether all the parts of your ear are working OK, your doctor may want you to take a hearing test. These tests are often given by a health care professional that specializes in hearing, such as an audiologist. Audiologists are usually not medical doctors but are trained to give hearing tests and interpret the results.
Hearing aids can usually help hearing loss that involves damage to the inner ear. This type of hearing loss is common in older people as part of the aging process. But younger people can also have it from infections or repeated exposure to loud noises.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A HEARING INSTRUMENT
As soon as you start wearing hearing instruments you begin the process of re-learning how to hear.

Although some people adjust relatively quickly, many first-time users need practice before the use of hearing instruments seems completely natural.

Your hearing care professional may recommend that you use your hearing instruments for limited periods at first, gradually increasing the amount of time you spend using them.

It's important to remember that hearing instrument use is part of a hearing recovery process.

HOW DO BONE CONDUCTION HEARING AIDS WORK?
Different to the more common air conduction hearing devices, with digital bone conducting hearing spectacles the sound is produced in a small vibrator and transmitted by direct contact to the mastoid-bone – the area of the temple bone behind the ear. From here the sound is transmitted via the skull to the inner ear and transformed directly into nerve impulses. Our company offers 2 versions of bone conduction hearing aids - AN-Evo1 and Contact Evo1 by BHM-Tech.

WHO IS THE BONE CONDUCTION HEARING AID SUITABLE FOR?
Anyone who cannot wear conventional hearing aids or put them in their ear canal because of continual infections or eczema, or because part or all of their ear or ear canal is missing, or because the canal is unusually small.

Some people with a conductive hearing loss. Conductive hearing loss occurs when sound is prevented from reaching the inner ear, usually because of a blockage or abnormality of the outer or middle ear.
